With summer in full swing, a big travel holiday approaching this weekend, gas prices still rising, all of us are wondering how to balance our budgets to see family and friends (when the “belt” is already suffocating some of us!)  Kelli Grant of SmartMoney.com was on CBS yesterday talking about “Saving On Summer Travel” and had some good tips I thought were pretty helpful.

Some hotels are even offering gas incentives to lure guests to their area.  Some of these are pretty good.  We can’t complain too much here in KC area, we still are among the lowest gas prices overall in the entire country, according to GasBuddy.com.

Good suggestions.  I hope these save you some cash this weekend and have a great (and safe!) weekend everyone.
